What Price Freedom?

The People and Stories of the Underground Railroad

THIRD STOP: Visit Two Sites in the Countryside

Stop #3 As we finish The Underground Railroad Experience tour of the countryside, we stop at two historic sites.

Stop at the Frantz Farm, a documented underground railroad safe house, to take pictures and learn from your guide more about how this, and other local farms, were used to harbor those seeking freedom along their journey northward.

Then, you’ll also stop at a Quaker Meeting House dating back to the 1800’s where Lancaster County’s two most famous Abolitionists, Daniel and Hannah Gibbons, are buried.  .

The Underground Railroad Experience is available by reservation only, and for groups only.
