Home, Farm and School – The only designated group Heritage Tour in Lancaster County!
Our widely acclaimed retail version of the VIP Tour is limited to 14 people on a small mini-coach. Requests for a group version led to this new tour, affording the opportunity to meet and talk one-on-one with three different members of the Amish community…truly a very special experience available only through us.
A certified Amish Country Tour guide steps onto your bus to lead this adventure to another culture.
Stop #1: On the Farm
An Amish dairy farmer’s presentation is always a highlight, as we visit an authentic, working Amish family farm. Discover how an Amish farm operates without electricity and be surprised to learn Amish cows aren’t milked by hand!
Stop #2: At Home
This exclusive in home presentation provides the unique opportunity to meet and interact with one of our Amish friends. Your Amish host will entertain any and all question your group may have about Amish life.
Stop #3: School Days
Since we can’t visit a real Amish school, we do the next best thing…we visit with a real Amish schoolteacher. Your group will meet her in the schoolroom in the Amish Country Homestead for a talk about daily life for an Amish child at school, and what it’s like teaching eight grades in one room! Everyone takes home a real Amish report card and, in most cases, the teacher will be happy to join you for an optional dinner at Plain & Fancy Farm as well.
Stop #4: Amish Dinner (optional)
After meeting the Amish, we suggest you enjoy an Amish Dinner at Plain & Fancy featuring two meats, sides, desserts, and beverages.
Allow 4.5 hours.
